The Region II Head Start Association supports Head Start and Early Head Start programs operating in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, New York, and New Jersey.  The Early Head Start and Head Start programs serve more than 100,000 in a variety of communities, from cities with diverse neighborhoods to rural communities that grow the nation's food to the suburbs in between.

The Region II Head Start Association is represented by the Board of Directors, made up of parents, staff, community members, and directors.  The Region II Head Start Association board meets throughout the year to examine issues that impact Head Start programs as well as to develop meaningful professional development opportunities.
